What do we want to know?: Glasgow City Council has taken ownership of the Dalmarnock Legacy Hub. We want to work with you to understand how best to use this building.
The Legacy Hub has some good spaces and facilities. It is close to the Emirates Arena, surrounded by outside spaces with potential. It sits within a wider district containing a mix of local facilities and services. We could re-imagine this place together with the right local services, in the right places, for the benefit of everyone in the community. The Legacy Hub building offers one opportunity to meet the needs of local people and it doesn’t have to be run by the council.
Glasgow City Council does not have any existing revenue funding to operate the Legacy Hub so we want to ensure that any physical and functional changes to the building are sustainable, and are supported by a viable business plan. We also need to establish strong governance arrangements. This consultation will help us find the best approach for Dalmarnock.
Our first task is to better understand what’s needed in the community. With this shared understanding, we can jointly consider who is best placed to operate and manage the hub. We can also can work out how best to link with existing and planned initiatives in area to better connect services around community need.
We believe the best way to use this opportunity is for us to work together and we need to make sure that everyone has their say. This survey is the first step. It’ll only take you 10 minutes to complete and your views will make a difference.
The survey is intended for anyone over the age of 12 years old and closes at midnight on 24th April 2020
This survey is anonymous. If you would like to be included in any future consultation, please provide your email address when you are redirected at the end of the survey.
