What do we want to know?: Glasgow City Council is holding an online consultation and walk-in session to assess proposals for improved active travel routes, serving communities in the North East of Glasgow and connecting to the City Centre.
We are proposing a number of changes to improve the environment for cyclists, pedestrians, local residents and businesses, and to reduce sustainable transport journey times.
These proposals include:
• 5 km of segregated cycle routes
• Road space reallocation and traffic calming measures
• Upgraded surfacing on footways and cycle routes
• Improved pedestrian crossing facilities
A public drop in session will be held on:
Wednesday 8th August
3pm – 7pm
Beatroute Arts Centre
285 Wallacewell Road
G21 3RP
This consultation will focus on proposed designs for segregated cycle routes and improved pedestrian facilities on Wallacewell Road, Northgate Road, Balornock Road, Broomfield Road, Red Road, Petershill Road, Turner Road and Cobden Road.
Information and an online survey will be available via www.glasgow.gov.uk/neatr from 25th July, for a period of 4 weeks. This will provide an opportunity for residents and businesses to provide comments on the proposals that might assist with the detailed layout. The closing date for consultation will be the 22nd August.
