What do we want to know?: The Avenues Plus project is a £21.4m multi-year project to make walking, wheeling and cycling more attractive, promoting active travel and increasing connectivity. Funding is from Transport Scotland via Sustran's Places for Everyone. The purpose of this survey is to seek your opinion on the proposed plans.
The aim is to protect and prioritise space for active travel, improve connectivity, provide green infrastructure and improve public transport movements. Changes may include:
- Green / blue infrastructure (e.g.street trees, planting, rain gardens)
- Enhanced and widened footways
- Segregated cycle lanes
- Reduced street clutter
- Improved lighting features
